CBS has an exciting opportunity for a student to participate in our paid Summer internship program! The CBS Internship Program is designed to be a learning experience for the intern, from both an educational and training perspective. The intern will observe and work under the close supervision of designated CBS employees, who will monitor and provide regular feedback on the individuals work and activities. As appropriate, the intern will be invited to participate in various departmental activities and programs.
Intern applicants must be currently enrolled in college with a minimum sophomore class standing. Applicants must have successfully completed journalism, communications, or television production courses.
Candidates cannot participate in an internship at another TV news station while interning at either CBS Sacramento or Good Day Sacramento.
While this is a paid internship, you need to receive college credit for the hours you’ll work. To ensure acceptance into our program, we highly recommend that you register for your mandatory internship or work study course at any area college as soon as possible. Typically, those courses fill quickly.
