Position Purpose:  We’re seeking a talented, charismatic and experienced Co-host/Producer for our Lifestyle/Entertainment show, Pittsburgh Today Live. This person will provide a creative, compelling energetic delivery in studio and live in the field, bringing entertainment / pop / news / local interest stories to our viewers. You will work both in-studio and live in the field conducting interviews with local and national celebrities in addition to writing and producing lifestyle-based content. You must be a team player, with top presentation skills and a can-do attitude to produce current content for our morning broadcast and social networking sites.  In addition to anchoring and producing, the Co-host/Producer will help drive local programing.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Perform on-air hosting/reporting duties both in studio and live in the field in an engaging manner

  • Be able to discuss issues of the day, using reliable, compelling content to attract and entertain our target audience.

  • Conceptualize story/segment ideas for daily programming

  • Arrange interviews with people who can provide information about stories

  • Collaborate to write, produce and shoot segments

  • Foster and maintain relationships and network sources for future stories

  • Interact and engage with viewers/users on social media sites

  • Write stories for web and social media sites

  • Turn content into news packages for later programming when applicable

  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned




Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:


  • Qualified candidate must have effective oral and written communication abilities and strong interpersonal skills.

  • College degree preferred.
