CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. This is an educational program designed for college students who are interested in pursuing a career in Sports.  It will provide an opportunity for you to learn the operation of the department assigned to while, at the same time allow you to perform some of the job functions that are critical to the learning process.  Each student is selected on a first come, first served basis.


This is a paid internship.  Placement is at the discretion of management. Due to high volume of applicants, this office cannot respond to application status inquiries; completed application packets are reviewed and qualified students are contacted directly. 

Internship Opportunity:   Sports Department

Term:                                      Summer/Fall 2018

Pay rate:                                $8.05 per hour (based on Florida’s minimum wage rate)


Flexible; able to work during business hours  Week nights and weekends   20-25 hours per week, maximum of 240 hours per quarter


Intern will assist the Sports Department with various tasks to include, but not limited to: 

  • Logging games for daily and nightly sportscasts

  • Archiving Sports Library

  • Assisting Sports Producers and Sports Talents with interviews

  • Logging interviews

  • Other related duties as necessary.

Must have letterhead from faculty member verifying college enrollment during the semester of the internship.
