CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Description:
Directs the promotion, design and branding of the station.  Creates and manages advertising campaigns and promotional campaigns for locally-produced news, public affairs and entertainment programs.  Directs production and placement of promotional announcements.  Coordinates creative activities between the station and its advertising agency, including development of media strategies and campaigns designed to improve the station’s audience base, community image and ratings.  Supervises the placement of the station’s advertising in other media.  Interfaces with other station departments as a creative consultant and with the CBS network advertising and promotion department with regard to joint projects and co-op advertising.
Qualifications:
Required: Detailed experience and understanding of all aspects of station promotion including news, sports, public service and sales presentations.  Knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies in editing, post-production, HD/24p shooting, graphics design and animation.  Experience in managing large advertising budget.  Excellent managerial skills, including teambuilding, communications, budgeting and administration.  Significant relevant experience in roles of increasing responsibility in creative services required (specifics and length of time varies by market).  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or technical area, or equivalent experience managing local television station advertising and promotions department.
