CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. CBS 4/WFOR-TV in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale market #16, is seeking a creative, hard-working and enthusiastic cinematographer and editor to assist the Creative Services Department with filming and editing commercials and content for television broadcast and web distribution
The ideal candidate should be able to help conceptualize, brainstorm, and execute a client’s vision by working closely with producers. Candidate must have experience operating a camera, lighting a scene, using grip equipment, editing and color correcting.
Candidate should have a flexible shooting style with the ability to handle larger scale planned productions and “on the fly” b-roll and interviews depending upon the parameters of each project. The ideal candidate can contribute creatively to each project using expertise in film theory to consider the effects of composition, continuity, shot sizes, camera height, camera distance, camera movement, color theory, lens selection, manipulating depth of field and focus, lens filters, lighting and exposure, shooting chroma key and knowledge of video codecs / media file formats.
Film school experience is a plus. Experience editing with Adobe Premiere is preferred. Some flexibility to work evenings and weekends as well as a good driving record is required
