Essential Responsibilities:

  • Field pitches, identify trends, and help establish the strategic development and programming goals for the Alternative department.

  • Build and maintain relationships with production and/or co-production partners.

  • Attend and act as a network producer on sets, run-throughs, casting sessions, tapings, and other program related duties.

  • Provide notes on development, cuts, and scripts.

  • Oversee/Manage the development of new and current programming, from initial idea through the final delivery of content whether episodic bibles, presentations,  or full series.  

  • Create and edit written materials and video presentations in order to pitch both internally and to potential partners.

  • Work to enhance current relationships with producers/studios worldwide as well as to help identify potential partnerships domestically and internationally.

  • All other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years work experience in the television industry

  • Minimum 10 years work experience in a production or development capacity

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Proficiency in Keynote and Avid


    Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience in programming for the Network Television market with hands-on experience, ideally from both a production and a development stand-point.

  • Proven skills in program scheduling and knowledge of network operations.

  • Extensive knowledge and deep interest in the Alternative Television and Content space.

  • Exhibit flexibility, excellent communication skills and relationship building ability.
