CBS Television City is seeking candidates for a full time IBEW Electronic Graphics Operator position.

The Electronic Graphics Operator is a member of CBS TVC’s technical operations team which is responsible for the productions of live and recorded television programs.


The Electronic Graphics Operator’s job responsibilities include the operation, set-up, configuration, and diagnosis of various types of electronic graphics engines such as Chyron Mosaic and Duet, Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, Ross Expressions and VizRT.  This position also requires the ability to create/generate animated and still graphics in tight time frames, and execute these graphics when called for by the Director during a live production or a show recording.


Thorough knowledge in the operations of the Chyron Mosaic Series, Chyron Duet, and Photoshop is a must. Experience in the operation of other graphic products is beneficial. The Electronic Graphics Operator should understand the basics of video formats, broadcast standards, broadcast timing, graphic file types, production operations, and post productions.  


A successful Electronic Graphics Operator must be able to execute the creative vision of the producers and the director and bring them to the television screen. This position will need to work closely with other members of the production team. The ability to communicate effectively, to resolve technical/creative issues in a timely manner, to execute graphics on air accurately is essential to the success of both live and taped productions.


The Electronic Graphics Operator position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the motion graphics or equivalent fields. A technical degree in production, or a degree in the creative arts is desirable but not required.
