Description:

The CBS Global Distribution Financial Reporting and Analysis group (CGDG) is seeking a highly motivated finance professional that is a self-starter and team player. Candidate must be detailed oriented, organized, capable of working well within a fast paced environment with multiple strict deadlines, and possess the technical and analytical ability necessary to review financial information related to the Entertainment industry. This position will work closely with management and is responsible but not limited to the following duties:

  • Assist with the consolidation and reporting of CGDG’s monthly balance sheet and statement of cash flows

  • Analysis and reporting of production cost inventory

  • Analysis and assessment of participation, residual and distribution cost accruals

  • Preparation of month-end closing journals and supporting balance sheet schedules

  • Maintenance of the fixed asset sub-ledger and property tax schedules

  • Tracking of open capital projects and reconciliation of construction in progress balances

  • Assisting with monthly and quarterly corporate reporting requirements

  • Assisting with balance sheet variance analysis

  • Assisting with monthly cash flow and quarterly balance sheet forecasting

  • Assisting with fulfillment of quarterly internal / external audit requests

  • Assisting with other special / ad-hoc projects as needed

  • Provide back up for other staff when necessary

Qualifications:

 Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, with 3-5+ years of comprehensive accounting experience

  • Technical accounting skills with knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements

  • Strong work ethic that takes ownership of assigned areas and is capable of performing a variety of time sensitive tasks

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong research, analytical, and problem solving skills

  • Work well in a team oriented environment

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and able to learn and other software applications

    Preferred:

  • Experience with Oracle general ledger accounting software and Cognos is preferred

  • Experience within Entertainment Industry Finance is preferred

  • CPA preferred
