This position is for a production attorney for CBS's Entertainment Tonight and ET Online content including the new 24/7 entertainment news streaming service ET Live. The successful candidate will be capable of performing legal vetting of content while also providing legal advice to the producers, writers, talent, crew and promotional creative teams on all potential legal risks and compliance issues in a variety of areas.
Applicants should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be organized and able to handle many tasks at the same time in an active, time-sensitive environment. Possession of excellent judgment and professional discretion a must.
· Minimum of 2 years law firm experience and 2 years of unscripted TV production and/or news legal experience
· Knowledge of defamation law, rights of privacy and publicity, copyright and trademark law, fair use, product integration and general media law issues including, FCC compliance standards.· JD from an accredited law school and California state bar membership (or if out-of-state bar, must be California RIHC eligible)
