This position is as a show production attorney for CBS syndicated shows. The attorney will be responsible for various responsibilities for the production including negotiating and drafting an array of production-related agreements, including location, talent, integrated marketing and vendor agreements, pre-broadcast clearance review and advising on broadcast standards and practices issues, copyright, privacy and defamation issues. Position also entails vetting of promotional material, website and internet content and contests/sweepstakes.  The successful candidate will be capable of providing thoughtful legal advice to the producers, crew and promotional creative teams on all potential legal risks and compliance issues in a variety of areas.


 The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be organized and able to handle many tasks at the same time in an active, time-sensitive environment. Possession of excellent judgment and professional discretion a must.

  • Minimum of 2 years law firm experience and 2 years of unscripted TV production legal experience

  • Knowledge of defamation, rights of privacy and publicity, fair use, and copyright and trademark law

  • JD from an accredited law school and state bar membership (if out-of-state bar, California RIHC eligibility required)
