The Legal File Clerk reports to the Manager, Sales Administrative & Legal Services. The role manages the files for all Domestic syndication agreements of  CBS Television Distribution (CTD) programs. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain physical copies of syndication contracts (40,000+ files) for CTD-distributed programs
  • Prepare, distribute and track syndicated exclusivity agreements
  • Follow up with station licensees of outstanding agreements, amendments and riders
  • Coordinate with Sales to resolve any issues
  • Handle all document requests and inquiries from sales offices and clients
  • Coordinate department responses to CTD and third-party audit requests

  • Perform other tasks as assigned

  • Research status of contracts using multiple CTD proprietary data systems

  • Create and track location of files using File Trail tracking system
  • Perform other tasks as requested



Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Meticulous attention to detail, along with the ability to multi-task in a time-intensive, demanding environment
  • Team player and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Stable work history and excellent references
  • High school diploma

 Preferred Skills:

  • 1 year of office experience
  • College degree
  • Prior filing experience
