The Video Production Assistant is responsible for all pre-production scheduling and routing of post-production footage; managing internal relationships with marketing business owners; acting as the primary contact for all video posts to our syndication and content partners, reviewing and editing copy for all videos and assisting in all general duties associated with internal and remote location shoots. The P.A. works closely with the Associate Director and all videographers acting as the central point of contact for the internal team as well as the publishing units keeping all production moving forward and on schedule.
Requires a minimum 1 - 2 years of experience in video production. Candidate must have basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere Editing suite, strong writing and organizational skills. College preferred.
At any given time the Production Assistant is managing 80 active projects in our platform and therefore must have excellent time management and organization skills. Good writing and oral communications skills are also a must as they must translate “video speak” to the business owners and “publishing speak” to the editors making sure that the final product is in line with the publishing office requests and follows our pre-production protocols. They must have at least a working knowledge of and some experience with Adobe Premiere ( the editing suite used by our editors) as well as basic experience with cameras, set management and production needs in order to clearly communicate with editors, maintain quality assurance and troubleshoot the obstacles editors might face while editing.
