Description:

The Senior Manager: Content Verticals is responsible for several areas of the Simon & Schuster Tips on Life and Love lifestyle blog including selecting and curating content for the blog and social media platforms, extracting editorial insights based on analytics and performance, and overseeing the Content Group’s Marketing Assistant who handles social media efforts and project management for TOLL. The Content Manager will also work with other S&S vertical stakeholders to refine content decisions as they relate to performance, work in partnership with the Social Media Marketing team providing editorial insights, guidance on content best practices and editorial strategies to all S&S vertical stakeholders.

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain TOLL editorial calendar and ongoing content strategy
  • Develop and manage influencer marketing strategy for TOLL and all vertical stakeholders in conjunction with Social Media team
  • Work in partnership with in-house personnel to curate and select appropriate content for TOLL
  • Select content for TOLL newsletter and work to build new subscribers in conjunction with Digital Marketing Group
  • Monitor content performance and regularly analyze all TOLL platforms (website, newsletter, social media) to maximize audience engagement and grow traffic, subscribers, revenue and fans
  • Meet regularly with all Simon & Schuster vertical stakeholders to analyze editorial content and performance, provide support for content selection and best practices, share expertise in WordPress and editorial strategies
Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of WordPress best practices and editorial functions
  • Editorial background in general lifestyle topics including relationship and health
  • 2-3 years data-driven decision making experience
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms: i.e. Google Analytics, Omniture
  • Experience with social media platforms, (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), and tools, (Sprinklr, Buzzumo)
