Join our team as a Product Manager!

As Product Manager, you will help the product team on all aspects of the product development process, from ideation to setting the pace for product execution. The role will report into the Director of Product Development and will involve frequent direct communication with the senior executive team.

As a Product Manager, you will:

      Interface with stakeholders and customers, synthesize feedback and formulate product requirements from the information gathered

      Deeply understand Simon & Schuster’s business strategy and align with the development teams’ strategies and focus

      Craft and champion a coherent product vision and execution strategy; step in to redirect focus when necessary to guarantee the success of the team

      Understand how to effectively iterate on a product to evolve and advance the consumer experience while maintaining a cohesive vision

      Collaborate closely with stakeholders as well as the design and engineering team and facilitate information flow between both

      Take ownership and accountability over product driven projects

      Identify metrics and data points of interest to prove product improvements

Qualifications:

You have:

      1-2 years of product management experience delivering B2C and B2B software and/or consumer facing products for web and mobile

      Some years of startup experience working with cross-functional collaborations preferred

      An understanding of agile product development methodologies like SCRUM, LEAN, and Kanban

      A track record of building great products and tools either B2C or B2B, preferably with experience in a 2 way market place

      Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, including building dashboards and custom reports

      Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager

      Hands-on experience with Campaign Management Tools

      Experience with creating effective product roadmaps

      Trello, Pivotal Tracker or Github Experience a plus

      Experience running A/B tests preferably with Google Optimize

      Comfort with learning new web and digital tools on your own quickly

      Great eye for detail in product and design

      Strong communication skills

      Ability to grasp high-level technical concepts and work closely with engineers

      Bachelor’s degree or higher a plus

      Ability to thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving and constantly evolving high growth environment

      Exceptional organizational skills, project management experience a plus
