National Accounts Special Sales ManagerApply
The National Accounts Sales Manager will sell the S&S and distributed frontlist and backlist to Specialty Wholesalers, Display Marketing/book fair accounts, and some retailers. This person will attend sales conference each season; enter print quantity estimates; create customized focus title lists; work with buyers through email, phone, and in-person presentations to pitch new books; and identify special projects, promotions, and backlist or customization opportunities to maximize sales. The manager will also be responsible for new account prospecting, including opening new specialty accounts. Additional responsibilities include the day-to-day account management, such as sample mailings, P&L review, inventory issues, title changes and add-ons, special print runs and bindery orders, meets comp, securing and reviewing POs, directing customer service requests and account maintenance issues, processing monthly consignment billing reports, analyzing sales reports and projections, and planning wholesaler promotions and advertising.
Two to three years of experience in book publishing sales required – special markets experience preferred. Networking and trade show experience are a plus. Must be experienced with Excel, including analyzing sales reports. Strong written and oral communication and superior attention to detail are required.
