        The National Account Manager,  eAudio Sales, is responsible for all aspects of the sales relationship with both the audio publishing division and all global retailers.  This roles requires an intimate understanding the various sales models under which  digital audio is distributed; the ability to manage a sales coordinator’s day-to-day responsibilities to ensure all account requirements are adhered in a timely manner; and to drive merchandising and marketing to further grow business

      Manage Simon & Schuster Digital Audio solicitation including but not limited to pitching new titles for merchandising, curating seasonal backlist opportunities, and analyzing sales for all domestic and international digital audio accounts

·         Actively partners with accounts to pitch promotions, merchandising support and editorial promotion; serves as account expert in key promotional vehicles and making strategic recommendations to audio publishing office

·         Serves as the primary digital audio sales analyst for the publishing and sales departments—tracking promotion lift, market share, category share, and competitive trends

·         Works in concert with the digital audio publishing team to integrate sales opportunities with marketing resources and overall publishing program

·         Creates a monthly and yearly digital sales budget and monitors actual sales versus projections. Seeks creative and innovative ways to grow digital audio revenue each year

·         Main sales liaison for foreign language publishing program

·         Spearheads feedback loop to the President of S&S Audio to inform on trends, establish short term goals/opportunities, and build long term strategic objectives

·         Manages eAudio Sales Coordinator


      7 - 10 years of publishing experience, preferably within audio publishing or sales.  Experience handling multiple business models a plus

·         Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail

·         Excellent organizational and follow-up skills; ability to prioritize and demonstrate initiative

·         Excellent verbal positioning / presentation and written communication skills; ability to interface directly with all levels of management

·         Strong interest in audio books, content strategy and the digital marketplace
