Avid Reader Press seeks an engaged and committed Marketing Manager to oversee the marketing for a broad range of books, from literary fiction to political memoir, from business and psychology to history and narrative non-fiction. Avid Reader Press, a standalone imprint within Simon & Schuster, intends to publish quality books, with intense focus, in true partnership with writers, literary agents, booksellers, and the media.
· A desire to help define and build a new imprint.
· Careful, attentive, and creative marketing work with writers, booksellers, third-party partners, librarians, educators, and others.
· Committed, passionate work to help connect books to the marketplace through the creation of thoughtful and focused marketing campaigns.
· A collaborative mindset and an eagerness to guide and participate in all parts of the publication process, from sales to design to publicity.
