Responsibilities include: reviewing manuscripts on submission and providing editorial notes for books under contract; day-to-day administrative/office duties; liaising with authors and agents by phone and e-mail; closely following manuscripts throughout the production process; preparing materials for sales, marketing and publicity.
Proven time management skills, an ability to meet deadlines, and attention to detail. Must be organized, reliable, friendly, flexible, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Be able to work with confidence in a fast-paced office environment. Possess excellent writing skills and an interest in books across a wide range of subjects and genres.
At least one year of previous editorial experience required, as well as strong MS Office skills, (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
