Description:

Showtime’s Research department is seeking a Sr. Analyst with Adobe analytics and Tableau experience.  This position will analyze and report on key performance indicators and viewership metrics with the goal of educating stakeholders so that they can make informed decisions.  The primary responsibility of this role is to leverage all available data to derive insights related to subscribers and their viewing behavior on SHOWTIME, both through our stand-alone OTT streaming service and third party distribution partners (Amazon, Hulu, etc.).   This role will also contribute to strategic analyses conducted with the Data Strategy and Product Development teams.   To uncover these insights, the Sr. Analyst must be able to use Adobe Analytics/Omniture reporting tools and have a strong command of Tableau.  The Sr. Analyst will serve as an integral member of a small team where collaboration is key.  This position will report to the VP of Research and work with a variety of teams across SHO, including but not limited to Research, Data Strategy, Product Development, Scheduling, Marketing, and Sales. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build, improve, and maintain reports, dashboards, and tracking metrics to monitor the performance of our apps and programs to help inform cross-functional stakeholders
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business objectives, define key performance indicators based on those objectives, and provide relevant data, including analysis and insights
  • Manage large amounts of data from various 3rd party sources with an eye towards fusing similar metrics together
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to compile and process data, tell a story and draw actionable conclusions that drive programming and development decisions
  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis under tight deadlines as required
  • Coordinate and stay informed of all new programming and product developments that may impact performance
  • Regularly assemble data from various disparate sources into consolidated reports/dashboards

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Candidates must have proven experience in analyzing, interpreting and presenting data

·         3+ years of work experience in Research, Analytics or similar type role

  • Media or subscription related experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to think creatively and tell meaningful, actionable stories with data 
  • Capacity to manage concurrent projects and tasks in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines
  • Must be detail-oriented and focused on data accuracy – with proactive problem solving skills
  • Independent self-starter who embraces a team-oriented and collaborative approach

·         Experience with Tableau or other data visualization products required

·         2+ years of experience using Omniture/Adobe Analytics (ideally having experience with mobile and connected tv apps)

·         Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, vlookup, etc.) – SQL a plus

·         Ability to both create and deliver PowerPoint Presentations

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate to all levels of the organization
