The Manager of Promotional Planning and
Scheduling will be involved in formulating the company’s on-air promotional
strategy and will be in charge of scheduling all promotional spots on
Smithsonian Networks’ US channel and expanding number of international
II. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Schedule promos on US channel and time out logs for air (30%)
· Schedule promos on international channels and time our logs for air (25%)
· Participate in promotional planning meetings (20%)
· Perform interstitial duties such as creating tags, entering inventory in scheduling system, and opening jobs for spots to be prepared for air (15%)
· Additional ad hoc projects as needed (10%)
The Manager of Promotional Planning and Scheduling is responsible contributing insightful ideas for on-air promotional strategy and accurately scheduling all promotional spots on Smithsonian Networks’ domestic and international channels.
· Bachelors degree
· 3-5 years of promotional planning and scheduling experience in the television industry
· Detail oriented
· Self-motivated team player
· Strong organization skills
· Excellent communication
· Ability to master multiple software programs
