Description:
The Manager, Digital Marketing & Multiplatform Content will be responsible for spearheading digital marketing campaigns and developing multi-platform content initiatives for assigned original series. Coordinating across digital teams, other marketing groups, and third party agencies, this role will be the Series Lead for all things digital marketing.

Specific Responsibilities:

DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGEMENT
Digital strategy and series advocacy
  • Develop a digital portrait and campaign strategy for your assigned series based off of the approved series brand positioning, audience profile and digital insights. 
  • Serve as the digital marketing lead for your series; be “the expert,” having read all scripts, seen all episodes and act as an advocate for your titles.  Continually look for opportunities to maximize your show’s exposure or improve marketing activities around your series.
  • Sync with the Social Media team for weekly social insights and fan sentiment to ensure that our marketing initiatives are relevant.
  • Own digital marketing communication with your series.  Maintain and update digital marketing planning documents, manage timelines and communicate updates to internal departments Creative Services, Program Marketing, Production, Social and Design teams.
Campaign management and execution 
  • Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns in support of your series in order to build awareness, drive tune-in, and increase engagement.
  • Outline success measures for each campaign/program based upon organizational goals.
  • Track performance and benchmarks of campaigns, drawing insights from these reports to optimize future projects.
  • Manage external agencies on the implementation of campaign initiatives, which may include providing updates, communicating feedback from the team, managing timelines, monitoring invoices, approving creative, and reviewing with legal.
  • Work closely with other SNI departments to ensure open lines of communication to secure proper approvals, establish clear workflow process and keep relevant people abreast of updates and milestones.

MULTIPLATFORM CONTENT DEVELOPMENT 
Content creation
  • Use your knowledge of pop-culture, social insights, digital trends, emerging platforms, series talent, storylines, etc. to create digital content for your series.
  • Oversee internal creative services teams, external agencies, influencers and other partners to ensure content is creatively compelling, strategically sound, within budget and timelines.
  • Review, provide notes, and give ongoing creative direction during the development of each content campaign.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the creative community including agencies, independent producers / writers / directors / influencers and production companies to keep abreast of new partners and collaborators.  
Transmedia extensions 
  • Look for opportunities to extend linear storytelling to digital platforms through transmedia extensions of our shows. 
  • Pitch showrunners and program executives on potential storyline, character or backstory extensions of your shows.
Evangelize digital content throughout the company
  • Research new digital trends, platforms, influencers and experiences that can inform Showtime digital marketing strategy and be used to reach new customers.
  • Work closely with media, program marketing, promotions, subscription marketing, etc to amplify custom digital content through paid media.

SEARCH MARKETING AND NATIVE ADVERTISING
Manage paid search and branded content campaigns for assigned series 
  • Work closely with search engine vendor in creation, management and monitoring of paid search campaigns for assigned series, specifically focused on tune-in and the active season window 
    • Assist in copywriting and plans, including keywords and terms as needed for search campaigns
    • Utilize web based tools for deployment, tracking, analysis and report on email campaigns
  • Build branded video and editorial content for placement within native advertising distribution platforms



Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years digital marketing experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interface easily with all levels of management
  • Passion for entertainment

  • Experience creating digital/social content
  • Love of digital storytelling through content and social media
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically
