Fall/Spring Internship - Corporate Communications

The intern will develop strong verbal and written communications skills during the course of the internship through various projects and daily assignments.  He/She will be immersed in a fast paced public relations department and learn the process of creating successful publicity campaigns.  Our goals for our intern is to walk away with a strong well rounded education in television publicity and how it operated on a daily basis.  The intern will also become familiar with important outlets and media contacts in the industry, and to develop a sense of confidence working in a corporate environment.

The intern will learn to collect clips and compile the daily clips packet which is essential to the dept and distributed throughout the company.  He/She will assist the Publicists on various campaigns.  Special projects may include creating niche media contact lists, pulling critics quotes for our series/docs/comedy specials, assisting with drafting blog posts and learning how to find and use circulation numbers for different publications and websites.

  • Must be a current junior or senior
  • Passion for television/film and a career in Communications/PR
  • Must be willing to commit for both the Fall and Spring semesters
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Prior related internships a big plus
