This position provides leadership, direction, coaching and functional expertise on complex employee relations matters/initiatives. The incumbent will assess and resolve employee relations matters ensuring consistency and fairness across all client groups. They will provide direction and expertise to mitigate employee risk and ensure compliance with governmental EEO/AA and other regulations.
In partnership with Human Resources, provide a single point of contact for employee relations issues to ensure clear communication and efficiency in resolving matters.
Potentially advise in matters related to Company policies and procedures promoting a positive culture within the business, while minimizing risks, i.e., disciplinary processes, restructuring activity, legal issues, investigations, conflict management and performance management.
Provides guidance and consultation regarding problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, litigation avoidance and strives to resolve internal conflict.
Leads, conducts and participates in thorough investigations in conjunction with Human Resources and Legal/Labor Relations when necessary, in keeping with the best practices of the Company and to minimize risk.
Prepares supporting documentation, including preparing presentations for executives when needed to present issues along with recommendations.
Provides solutions and advises on employee relations strategies and risks including, but not limited to employee terminations, adverse impact, severance & outplacement services, employee engagement, conflict resolution, and investigatory techniques.
Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. Researches best practices, current market trends and governmental regulations/statutory requirements to ensure incorporation in current strategies, policies and procedures, and practices of the enterprise.
Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies.
Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal policies and external regulations and laws, bringing all compliance issues to the attention of management.
Conducts HR training and/or assists in the implementation of human resources initiatives or projects. Mentors and develops team members by providing feedback and ongoing coaching.
Utilizes data driven metrics to make recommendations to improve organizational and business effectiveness.

Sound knowledge of employment and labor laws, regulations, caseload and their application in a large, multi-site, multi-state environment.
Ability to absorb and apply new learning, particularly related to company culture, policies, procedures and practices.

Ability to problem-solve "people conflict" issues at all levels of the organization.
Able to comfortably operate in a 24/7 nature of production and willing to conduct investigations based on different time zones and production schedules. Operate on a “non-fixed time schedule”.

Ability to work in a work environment that is fast-paced, customer-focused, results-oriented, collaborative and highly-matrixed.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
