Showtime’s Research department is seeking a Digital Research Analyst to derive insights related to subscribers and their viewing behavior across SHOWTIME streaming platforms.   The Analyst will serve as an integral member of a small team where collaboration is key.  In addition to working closely with senior research team members, this position will also have exposure to a variety of teams across SHO, including Data Strategy, Product Development, Scheduling, Marketing, and Sales. 

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and distribute reports monitoring the performance of SHO programming across our streaming platforms (including but not limited to our Standalone OTT service, Amazon, Hulu, Spotify and many more)
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business objectives, define KPIs based on those objectives, and provide relevant data, including analysis and insights
  • Utilize strong creative and analytical skills to compile and process data, tell a story and draw actionable conclusions that drive programming and development decisions
  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis under tight deadlines as required
  • Stay informed of all new programming and product developments that may impact performance

  • 0-1 year of Research Analytical experience (related internships would be great)
  • Candidates should have proven experience in analyzing, interpreting and presenting data
  • Work/class experience in Research, Analytics or similar type role
  • Proficient in both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate to all levels of the organization
  • Must be detail-oriented and focused on data accuracy - with proactive problem solving skills
  • Independent self-starter who embraces a team-oriented and collaborative approach

Bonus Qualifications *not required

  • Experience using Omniture/Adobe Analytics a plus (ideally having experience with mobile and connected tv apps)- familiarity with workspace/ report builder
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, vlookup, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Tableau or other data visualization products
  • Digital media or subscription related experience
  • Beginner-level SQL knowledge
