Description:
This intern will be involved and responsible for, but not limited to, the following projects:
  • Research and create a handbook of distributor accounts-ownership, M&A, business strategy, products, Smithsonian Channel packaging and marketing strategy.
  • Monitor YouTube TV, Hulu and other accessible services to ensure our titles are represented accurately and are being promoted.
  • Fill out pitch decks, track and schedule meetings for Black History Month.
  • Collect samples for wrap-up reports and compile into a templated deck..
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Current undergraduate student (rising junior or above).
  • Ability to work 20 hours/week from January to May 2019.
  • Strong Interest in the Cable/Entertainment Industry.
  • 2.50 GPA or above.
  • Submission of a cover letter.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work and prioritize work assignments.
  • Able to provide administrative support as needed.
Preferred:
  • Cable television experience.
  • Active participation in extracurricular activities; clubs; and/or associations. Leadership positions while maintaining an above-average GPA.
  • Prior internship experience in a related field.
