As the Special Events Producer you will be responsible for the editorial travel pool which covers the sitting U.S. President and Cabinet (VIP) officials.  You will have working knowledge of how various network-level pools function, along with a sound grasp of internal terminology.  You will be a  strong solo contributor with control room experience,  and a demonstrated ability to direct others in their assignments in the field. 



  • Solid technical understanding of booking live shots, satellite time, satellite trucks and camera crews
  • Ability to handle  logistics and shoot under tight deadlines when necessary
  • Working knowledge of LiveU technology 
  • Strong control room experience 


  • 5+ years’ experience working in a deadline driven, news environment
  • Highly developed relationship building skills in the political arena; previous expereince working events required
  •  Ability to work independantly and direct others in the field; strong control room skills
  • Ability to travel and work weekends on short notice when necessary
  • College degree in broadcast journalism, history, or political science strongly preferred
