Description:

CBS This Morning is seeking a White House producer with strong reporting and writing skills

Utilizing sound editorial/ news judgement He/She will have a demonstrated ability to produce daily pieces and contribute to the daily news gathering operation.

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ of journalism experience,  and the ability to thrive in a deadline driven news environment. He/She will have superior writing, editing  and research skills, and the ability to book interviews.  


Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Produce daily White House stories for broadcast on CBS This Morning
  • Regular White House travel, both foreign and domestic
  • Daily coordination with the broader WH unit on reporting and newsgathering needs

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience working in a deadline driven, news environment; television experience preferred  
  • Strong editorial/news judgement with ability to turn packages around quickly
  • Strong writing skills, shooting ability preferred
  • Ability to travel on short notice when necessary
  • Broadcast experience preferred
  • College degree in broadcast journalism, history, or political science strongly preferred
