Director of Newspath/Network Operations will provide leadership and technical support for a large News Organization with highly qualified and motivated broadcast professionals of all levels.

Responsibilities include (but not limited) to:

  • Manage Technical facilities, transmission and support for Newspath NY, DC , LA and London
  • Trouble shoot and help support Newspath affiliates and foreign clients technical needs
  • Develop and implement large projects and coordinate with engineering and construction.
  • Forecast and manage annual capital budgets.
  • Manage union staff and uphold contract.
  • Plan and implement special events and breaking news remotes
  • Constantly seek new technology for more efficient and cost effective news gathering
  • Participation on Industry wide organizations/conventions.
  • Willing to be on call 24/7 in a news environment



  • Ability to travel on short notice and for extended periods
  • Familiarity with bonded cellular technology
  • Understanding of all forms of transmission: jpeg, mpeg, HEVC, microwave, satellite, fiber, etc.
  • Knowledge of all forms of newsgathering equipment, cameras, audio equipment, drones, satellite trucks, etc.
  • Familiarity with computers, networking, firewalls, etc.


  • College degree
  • Engineering degree (not a must but preferred)
