Description:

Responsibilities:

§  Assist in reviewing and drafting talent agreements, term sheets, employee communications and payment memoranda – with the potential for negotiating certain agreements.

§  Review various talent and service agreements for key terms and prepare summaries and charts based on internal and external information requests.    

§  Interact with various units within the News division – including show unit managers, executives, Finance, HR and the CBS Law department.

§  Handle confidential and sensitive material in a professional manner.

§  Prepare agreements for signature and scan, email, file and e-file.  

§  Receive and review invoices, secure necessary payment approvals, generate and distribute payment memoranda.

§  Execute appropriate forms in connection with any changes, promotions, new hires and departures.

§  Prepare, distribute and obtain on-boarding paperwork for freelance employees.

§  Resolve issues and answer any talent/agent/internal inquiries, coordinating with other departments when necessary.   

§  Track payments and appearances for select talent.

§  Provide general administrative support for two Vice Presidents of Business Affairs and an EVP of Business Affairs, as needed.

§  Take on new assignments and tasks as required.


Qualifications:

Requirements:

§  College Degree and Paralegal or Legal Experience preferred.

§  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

§  Attention to detail, professional demeanor, sense of urgency, collaborative, prompt and courteous attitude.

§  Ability to prioritize and multitask complicated, and often time sensitive, assignments.

§  Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
