Division Overview:
CBSi Media Brands delivers premium entertainment, lifestyle and leisure content to a global audience of 150M+ people per month across its web and app channels and an additional 100M+ people per month globally across social and syndication channels. Our portfolio of seven brands - including Chowhound, TV Guide, TV.com, Metacritic, Download, Metrolyrics and Last.fm – deliver extensive breadth and depth of entertaining content and news about TV, streaming, music, movies, games, apps, food, travel and more.

Role Details:
We are seeking a dynamic content leader who will transform and lead CBSi Media Brands’ premium entertainment, lifestyle and leisure content across our web, social, apps, video syndication, connected devices and other distribution channels.

Your Day To Day:
  • Lead a team of excellent New York and Los Angeles based content leaders, editors, writers, video producers, digital content creators, social media and marketing experts covering TV, streaming, movies, music, food, travel and more
  • Build winning brands and winning content strategies in entertainment, lifestyle and leisure. Directly manage the Chowhound and TV Guide content teams and pursue new growth ideas that extend these and other brands into new categories.
  • Partner closely with sales and product marketing to drive compelling advertiser opportunities that are differentiated from the competition, stand out from the crowd, and deliver great results for our clients and users.
  • Create growth initiatives and partnerships that build distribution for our premium content across a multichannel network spanning, web, app, social, syndication, connected devices and beyond.
  • Drive engaging and innovative content that resonates for public relations, events, promotions and other marketing initiatives that build brand momentum with consumer audiences, marketers, advertisers, digital media, and key business leaders from our brands’ categories.
  • Be a key member of the Media Brands executive management team and collaborate with leaders in design, product, technology and other departments to drive the business and brands forward in existing and new categories.

Your First 90-days:
  • Develop and implement strategic vision and multiplatform go-to market plans for CBSi premium brands and content.
  • Create an entertainment, lifestyle and leisure content strategy across an integrated content platform focused on driving collaboration and engagement in our brands both internally and externally.
  • Create an agenda of key marquee events across the various verticals that our brands participate in, increasing brand awareness and engagement.
  • Drive the marketplace agenda across partners and advertisers, creating buzz and excitement in the industry for each of our brands.
Qualifications:
What you bring to the team:
You have –
  • 12+ years professional experience in digital media content and partnerships.
  • Proven content leadership track record building digital audiences in entertainment, lifestyle and leisure categories.
  • Significant experience managing digital content leaders and teams including writers, video producers, social media teams, and other digital content creators. Proven ability to give feedback and develop staff & talent.
  • Experience developing, pitching, producing and selling video series for web, digital syndication and/or TV.
  • Creative, insightful and collaborative brand leader who brings entrepreneurial energy to existing and new business opportunities.
  • Great communicator and leader in all settings -- with your team, clients, partners and executives.
  • Experience managing department operations, inclusive of strategy, talent, and budgets.
  • Deep understanding of multichannel digital media landscape, challenges, and opportunities for expansion and growth within entertainment, lifestyle and leisure categories.

You might also have experience with -
  • Managing multiple teams and brands
  • Sales, marketing, promotions, events and/or public relations
  • Content marketing and user acquisition marketing experience with search, social, email and/or other channels
