Division Overview:
Join a team that ensures the availability and performance of such popular sites as,,, and You will help these and other sites grow with new features and compelling content. We’re headquartered in San Francisco, but support brands across the globe. Our Systems Engineer can work out of our Fort Lauderdale, Phoenix, New York or Louisville offices.

Role Details:
As a Systems Engineer in CBSi Technology Operations, you will be working with a small group of experienced, dedicated and talented Linux System Engineers, Database Administrators, Network engineers and NOC team to support CBSi datacenter infrastructure for all of CBSI brands

Your Day-to-Day:
  • Collaborate with development, QA and other operations teams to diagnose problems and advance ongoing technical initiatives
  • Develop and maintain tools for analysis or task automation
  • Monitor site and infrastructure stability and performance
  • Respond to issues in production and staging environments
  • Document system procedures and identify opportunities for automation
  • Build strong working relationships with coworkers, customers (internal and external), and company management
  • Work independently on projects or as part of a team

Key Projects:
  • Transform existing traditional data center infrastructure to public cloud deployment
  • Revamp DNS system with 10,000+ domains
What you bring to the team:
You have --
  • At least 5 years of Linux Systems Administration - Redhat and Debian based
  • Programming experience in Bash, PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, or Go
  • Experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Intermediate understanding of networking especially routing and the IP stack
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good customer service skills (internal developers)
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, attentive to detail, positive demeanor

You might also have --
  • Knowledge of configuration management is highly desirable - Chef/Puppet/Ansible/cfEngine
  • Knowledge of Content Delivery Networks
  • Experience with public cloud providers like AWS/GCP
  • Experience with software containers like Docker/rkt, and schedulers like Kubernetes/Nomad
  • Experience operating large-scale geographically distributed redundant services
