Description:

Division Overview:

CBSi Games is the #1 network of games media sites and includes some of the most popular gaming destinations in the world including GameSpot, GameFAQs, Giant Bomb, and Comic Vine.


Role Details:

The GameSpot editorial intern will work alongside the core editorial team in San Francisco, participating in brainstorming meetings, creating content, and assisting in our peer-review process. There are also potential opportunities for external event coverage and on-camera appearances. 


Your Day-to-Day:


  • Write news and commerce articles

  • Help edit news, features, and reviews

  • Contribute to editorial and video planning meetings

  • Manage personal assignments in Asana and collaborate with the editorial team via Slack


Logistics
  • Time commitment: full-time, 40 hours per week. 
  • This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines
Qualifications:

What you bring to the team: 

You have – 

  • A passion for writing and a team mentality

  • Ability to adapt writing styles for various types of coverage

  • Knowledge of industry trends and a passion for video games and gaming culture


You might also have – 


  • On-camera experience

  • Social media expertise

  • Broad knowledge of the games media space

  • Interest in contemporary pop culture (TV, film, wrestling, toys, etc.)


Additional requirements:
  • Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or bootcamp
  • Must be at least 18 years old
