Description:
We are looking for an intern with a passion for sports, and a demonstrated interest in sales and marketing. Our intern will get the opportunity to shadow multiple Account Executives on sales calls in order to understand the full sales process, how to position specific products, and how a salesperson must present themselves out in the field. Our intern will work closely with our Account Managers in crafting and developing proposals. Additionally, our intern will work with the Account Coordinators, who will teach him/her the ins and outs of the post-sale process, account optimization, and campaign re-cap. 

Role Responsibilities:
  • Produce a high volume of outbound telephone calls to advertising prospects 
  • Prioritize activity in accordance with Sales coverage needs 
  • Pass qualified leads to Account Managers and Account Executives 
  • Close business on select programs 
  • Maintain organized database of prospects and call activity 
  • Qualify potential advertiser and when appropriate coordinate meetings between outside sales person and clients 
  • Accurate and timely communication to manager of all relevant information regarding revenue and/or advertiser relationships
Logistics:
  • Time commitment: full-time, 40 hours per week during our regular office hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm) but times may vary per team
  • This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines
Qualifications:
  • Strong computer skills-- proficient in Excel
  • Comfortable speaking to an audience
  • Ability to work as part of a large team
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Outstanding telephone skills
  • Demonstrated analytical ability
  • High energy and desire to begin a career in Sales
Additional Requirements:
  • Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Must be at least 18 years old
