CBS Sports Digital, the fastest-growing Top 10 sports property in the U.S, is seeking an experienced, organized, energetic, creative-thinker to join our Integrated Marketing (Sales Marketing) team as a Manager. CBS Sports Digital sits at the intersection of three powerful brands: CBS (#1 most watched network), CBS Interactive (#1 premium digital content producer) and CBS Sports (#1 in the biggest sports and events including the NFL, SEC Football, College Basketball/March Madness, The Masters/PGA Tour golf, Fantasy Sports and Games).
Based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, the headquarters for CBS Sports Digital, you will serve as the primary sales marketing lead managing sponsorships for key, high profile sports across CBS Sports Digital, including Golf (PGA Tour, Masters, PGA Championship), Major League Baseball, College Basketball and the NBA.
Manage the full lifecycle of sponsorship programs, from ideation and RFP response to execution
Develop custom/sponsored content ideas for advertisers, working directly with various groups, including internal editorial and video production teams, legal, consumer marketing, graphic design and ad operations
Create marketing materials, media plans, and mock-ups outlining specific sales opportunities and maintain product decks used by the sales team
Execute on sold sponsorship programs, working with internal teams across CBS and external vendors
High Profile, Major Sport Launches -- serve as the primary sales marketing lead for Golf, Major League Baseball, NBA and College Basketball, all key revenue drivers for CBS Sports Digital. Present and position strategy surrounding sport launches to sales teams, while managing sponsorship ideation and execution for these sports.
CBS Sports HQ -- recently launched in February, CBS Sports HQ is a new 24/7 Sports News and Information digital/OTT network, headquartered in the Fort Lauderdale office. The candidate will work with the HQ team to integrate sponsorships tied to Golf, Major League Baseball, NCAA Basketball, and the NBA.
NCAA Basketball Tournament -- during one of the biggest months in sports, the candidate would lead the partnership with Turner, on all of their March Madness related bracket games and sold sponsorships housed on CBSSports.com as part of a joint venture.
College degree and minimum of 5 years related experience required in digital media and/or sports marketing
Must be incredibly detail-oriented and organized, a creative thinker and have strong interpersonal skills
Background in sports marketing and/or agency experience
Ability to travel to outside sales offices, primarily New York, but also including Chicago, LA, Detroit
Affinity for sports, as a fan or with playing experience
Knowledge of lead generation and audience targeting
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong work ethic. Prepared to go “above and beyond” to get the job done
Ability to lead/own projects
Excellent interpersonal skills and capability to build productive relationships across the business and all levels of management as well as with third parties
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
