You are a gifted video executive with a clear vision for video that resonates with a diverse audience in a rapidly changing media landscape. You also have news sense and a modern vision for quickly executing on current trends to inspire creation of video that works for diverse audiences both online and in social media. You can effectively manage a variety of talent and video professionals to ensure that CNET stays five steps ahead of the industry and invents the way forward for video across multiple platforms. You also have the experience to know what works and what doesn’t from an editorial and programming standpoint, but you’re never afraid to try new storytelling approaches.
The Executive Producer is responsible for program development, creative and editorial direction/programming, collaboration with a large team of writers and editors who often appear on camera, talent management, and general oversight of editorial and content integration across platforms. You'll be a strong leader with the and ability to manage a team of directors, producers, and talent. You will be comfortable representing the CNET brand both inside and outside the building and with working on business-wide efforts alongside counterparts in Product, Engineering, and Editorial.
You have –
- Applicants should have 5-10 years experience at a senior level, and experience developing video content for rapid growth on multiple platforms.
- Must have solid editorial and news judgment
- Strong management and communication skills
- Strong understanding of the modern video landscape, including the factors that contribute to streaming video success on multiple platforms, from destination sites to social video plat
- Must understand the CNET brand both as it stands now and as it can evolve
- Must be able to work in fast paced environment with intense deadlines
- Some travel required
- Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends.
