The CBS Television Distribution Digital group at CBS Interactive creates video-focused desktop, mobile, and app experiences, managing digital and social for first-run television syndication brands including Entertainment Tonight, Inside Edition, Rachael Ray, Dr. Phil, and The Doctors.
As we expand our business, we need a product visionary that can help lead new initiatives such as OTT app development and live-streaming. Plan and lead product development and deployments across multiple, video-centric, entertainment brands from concept to launch
Drive cross-functional SCRUM team (product, engineering, editorial, design) through strong leadership, clear communication, and concise documentation
Lead product development efforts by working with the senior management team to define product vision and roadmaps across multiple brands
Communicate product vision, business requirements, and roadmaps across all working groups and identify strategies what will lead to successful launches while managing expectations and listening to priorities and concerns
Document product vision and roadmaps by creating user personas, epics, stories, workflows, wire-frames, design and product requirements, and other materials as needed
Own products throughout their lifecycle, prioritize efforts, and create best practices
Lead, cultivate, and expand a team of dedicated product owners
Develop key performance indicators that align with the group’s strategy and achieve the business objectives set by the executive team.
Ensure that all products are consistent with brand and experience guidelines
Create and execute an OTT live-video streaming strategy for app, mobile, and desktop
Maximize use of existing technical architecture and solutions while breaking new ground as necessary
Build excellent, user-centric, live-streaming and VOD experiences across multiple distribution endpoints
Consolidate multiple brands on to a single common CMS platform and develop enterprise-wide functionality that can be shared across the business
Absorb new brands and legacy systems into the existing business while creating user experiences that are video-focused, social, and massively distributed
You have –
Minimum 7 years experience combined in digital media, content development, strategy, business development or related fields
Deep experience with video-focused digital products, OTT app development, and live streaming
Strong technical skills (specifically ad tech and video)
Comfortable experimenting often, failing fast, and recovering faster
Mastery of Agile and Scrum
You might also have –
Knowledge of digital video (live streaming and VOD)
Knowledge of digital advertising concepts (video and display)
Knowledge of online publishing environments and revenue streams
Strong UX instincts and ability to sketch proposed solutions to business problems
