Role Details:
CBS Interactive seeks a DevOps Engineer for online content delivery systems and re-seller solutions. In this role, you will support infrastructure and platforms that serve our customers. We have diverse infrastructure that spans Windows and Linux servers in the datacenter and in the Cloud as well. This is a great opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to manage a wide range of existing technologies and learn new.

Your Day-To-Day:
  • Manage Linux and Windows clusters
  • Ensure the quality, reliability and stability of production systems / solutions
  • Implement solutions for fault tolerance, performance enhancement and configuration management of applications
  • Support our development teams across multiple properties in an AGILE environment
  • Coordinate release of new software and systems
  • Implement monitoring platforms across infrastructure, applications and networks
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve applications issues

Key Projects:
  • Work with our development teams on re-architecture of existing systems into the Cloud
  • Implement new solutions for fault tolerance, performance enhancement and configuration management of applications
  • Work on migrating existing applications into a containerized environment.
What you bring to the team:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix and Windows Administration
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • 3+ years managing and monitoring Linux and/or Windows systems
  • 2+ years managing web-servers IIS, Apache Tomcat
  • 2+ years database experience with MSSQL, AzureSQL, MySQL
  • 2+ years experience deploying and managing JVM applications
  • 1+ years experience with NoSQL solutions like MongoDB, CosmosDB
  • Networking expertise, including DNS, Load Balancing technologies, NAT, VPN, etc
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects

You may also have:
  • Hands-on experience with MS Azure or any other Cloud platform
  • Experience containerizing applications using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, Azure Fabric
  • Experience in scripting language such as Perl, Python, Bash, PowerShell
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and Cloud services
  • Experience setting up/managing monitoring systems such as New Relic, Pingdom, etc
  • Hands-on experience with highly available and highly scalable distributed systems
  • Experience in re-architecting legacy systems and stacks
