Role Details:
CBS Interactive is looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our Media Brands. The ideal candidate possess strong project management skills and a drive for problem-solving. The role is extremely collaborative, requiring you work across the entire company to determine high level business goals and outline specific requirements. You should love good design, be passionate about the user experience, and be excited to work with talented engineers to make a big picture vision a reality via iterative product launches.

Your Day-to-Day:
  • Identify, document and communicate product requirements with team members to facilitate product development
  • Work with product design to create clear mocks that satisfy objectives and work closely with engineering to solve problems as they arise
  • Closely manage resources, scope and priorities to meet deadlines and communicate progress to stakeholders
  • Develop KPIs and analyze data to ensure that that product is successful

Key Projects:
  • Collaborate with in-house SEO experts to execute on technical improvements to grow search traffic
  • Identify core site features with highest opportunity for growth and work with in-house design to simplify and modernize user experience across desktop and mobile web.
  • Work closely with engineering to retire or replace legacy features with minimal interruption to traffic, revenue, and overall user experience.
  • Manage basic programming tasks, including queues for user feedback and spam, plus data and image management, while developing systems to increase automation of these tasks.
  • Partner with Revenue teams to test and optimize revenue solutions with an eye on maximizing ROI with as little interruption to the user experience as possible.

You have:
  • Experience working on web-based properties
  • Self-directed work style, with ability to manage competing priorities
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with an ability to multi-task, pivot and change focus when necessary
  • Ability to gather requirements and feedback from non-technical stakeholders and communicate them with engineering
  • An ability to work with stakeholders of all levels, including senior management

You might also have:
  • Familiarity with basic Agile development process and project management tools like JIRA
  • Familiarity with Omniture or Google Analytics
  • Technical customer support or QA experience
