Brand/Division Overview:

Entertainment Tonight is launching an interactive streaming news network delivering celebrity, pop culture and lifestyle content and premium video.  It will be available live and on-demand 24/7 via our app, on OTT, desktop, mobile and across social platforms. We strive to have our original reporting and exclusive access drive the conversation.

Role Details:


We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Associate Editorial Producer to join our booking and news desk  That team will identify and report out stories our audience wants to see/share and find guests that can offer an insightful and interesting perspective.  Our content wil stream live on our digital network before being re-packaged in multiple formats for social. The right candidate should be experienced in news-gathering, have a real love for celebrity and pop culture and a creative knack for pitching, reporting and producing compelling entertainment news content.


Your Day-to-Day:


  • Chase and report original news and breaking stories in a deadline environment

  • Coordinate with Senior Staff on story ideas and bookings for daily content and coverage, futures and breaking news

  • Cultivate sources that can break news for us on any and all platforms

  • Communicate with Broadcast News Desk to synthesize news-gathering across platforms

  • Direct and manage bookings, including logistics as needed

  • Work on long-term projects including cross-platform initiatives and integrations




Qualifications:

What you bring to the team

  • 2 years+ journalism experience in Broadcast, Cable or Digital

  • A genuine love and excitement for celebrity news and pop culture/lifestyle content and a talent for identifying and reporting out stories driving the conversation

  • Established contacts in the entertainment field and news spac

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed, including event coverage

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience




You might also have –

  • Experience covering live events: Red carpets, junkets, film festivals, etc.

  • Familiarity with rights and clearances for obtaining third-party footage

  • History of creating compelling video content for platforms including YouTube, Instagram and/or Facebook

  • Understanding of SEO and similar content production best practices

  • Video-editing experience, preferably on Avid platform
